Hi! I am Heather Marek and I am a REALTOR® at HOMEgirl Realty. I have been a licensed Realtor in the State of Iowa since July 1993. I have been putting my heart and soul into helping buyers and sellers for 30 years this summer!!
I am a lifelong resident of the Washington County area and a graduate of Washington High School. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design from the University of Iowa, but am married to an ISU grad, so I cheer for everyone except when Iowa plays ISU!
I grew up on my family’s century farm east of Brighton. I am now married to my husband, Tim, and we live north of Washington on his family’s century farm, where he is a full-time farmer, raising corn, soybeans, hogs, and cattle. The local sale barns are his favorite hang-out.
We raised our 4 awesome daughters (according to their grandmothers 😉 ) in this amazing community! Lexi and her husband, Charlie, live in St. Louis. She has just started her own communications/social media company and Charlie works for Bayer. Macy is in Quincy, Il, and is a Territory Manager for Corteva Agriscience. Makenzi is in New York City and is an assistant fashion designer for Maggie London Dresses. And Leah is a junior at Iowa State studying biology.
Now that we are empty nesters I have a bit more free time, I enjoy helping on our farm, traveling to see our girls, and catching up on some reading. I stay active in our church and community organizations, I am a current board member of Main Street Washington and have been on various boards around the community over the last 25 years.
But helping Buyers and Sellers navigate the real estate world is my true passion! My true goal is to keep the process simple AND enjoyable for my clients. Please reach out if I can help you sell or purchase a home in the area.
